Yoga As Self Physiotherapy

Yoga As Self Physiotherapy

Do you think about how you move or just expect the body to perform?
Do you have aches and pains or notice any deterioration in your range of movement advancing over time?
Do you want to give yourself the best chance of being mobile in to life’s advancing years?
A practical and careful approach in yoga without doubt will help to make you stronger and increasingly flexible. You don’t need to be able to touch your toes or bend in to fancy postures, what you do want is to pay a careful attention to how you move, increase awareness learn move more efficiently.
To maintain mobility, the joints in our feet, ankles, knees, hips and spine and shoulders need to be worked through their normal range. The muscles of our legs, torso and arms need functional strength and our balance/ understanding of C.O.G. (centre of gravity) needs to be on point.
Increasingly I see elderly people fall and break bones because their C.O.G is too far forward which renders them unstable. This happens as a result of poor posture and weakened postural muscles with the body gradually fusing in a position of upper back rounded, shoulders rounded, the neck and head projecting forward.
Learning a few key points and key movements can make all the difference, allowing you to be more at ease in your body.
Lack of mobility creeps up on you don’t let it.
I have over 20 years of experience in yoga, a background in sport and keen interest in helping you to move with confidence/ease.
Live well. Will 🙂🙏
