Do you take any periods of quiet time?
Are you able to step away from alerts on your phone?
Can you switch off from the loop cycle of thoughts after your working day?
Allowing periods of silence allow us to feel and process the events of our lives. To be simply present in the motion of walking, listening to birdsong or looking at a view is to practice mindfulness, to intentionally keep one thing in mind.
This helps us to mentally decompress and widen perspective.
The mind, body and emotions are connected, one directly affects the other. Taking time out to watch the breath connects the dots of our whole being. A little and often can really alter the quality of how we receive the waves of life.
